The back of a trucker hat is usually one of three things. Classic plastic mesh is cheap and highly breathable — the original workwear look. Foam-backed mesh is softer and more premium, with better embroidery hold. Nylon mesh dries fast and works well for sports programs. Front panels are typically brushed cotton twill for embroidery, but denim and performance fabrics are common.
